Historical
Cycling International is an outdoor adventure touring company that specializes
in discovering our Jewish culture and artistic history around the globe.
Our cycling, walking, hiking and kayaking tours are created to embrace
the richness of our Jewish history, the beauty of the natural world
and the physical advantages of exercise into an unparalleled, spiritually
rewarding vacation experience. All HCI tours are supported with two
experienced guides, a guest lecturer or historian, a 21-speed hybrid
bicycle (on cycling tours), support van, luxury hotel accommodations,
continental breakfasts daily and regional dining nightly. A fundamental
component of HCI is to create a fund that contributes to organizations
that help to restore landmarks of Jewish historical significance or
institutions that identify with the Jewish community. .
Passion
of Living
Historical Cycling International offers an unparalleled vacation experience
for people who appreciate the art of living. Our cycling trips are designed
to allow you the freedom to ride at your own pace; to make a spontaneous
turn down an inviting country road, to be a part of the local scene
or linger over a cool drink or espresso in a charming medieval village.

On
our walking and hiking trips, new and old friendships flourish as we
enjoy spectacular landscapes, visiting particular points of interest,
museums, art galleries and artisans at work. We encourage you to be
open to the nuances of weather, to embrace the moment and to enjoy the
day as it unfolds.
Celebrating
our Heritage, HCI style
What better way to finish off glorious days of cycling and adventure
than to enjoy the evenings at Renaissance villas, historic castles and
antebellum plantations. Some are richly furnished with fine antiques
others reflect elegant simplicity. We encourage you to enjoy each hotels
unique amenities; a stroll in the countryside, a refreshing dip in the
pool, a game of tennis, a wine tasting, a verandah overlooking an unforgettable
setting.
An
Epicurean experience awaits us nightly as we savor the region's traditional
cuisine at its finest. In the morning, we'll awaken to regional or continental
breakfasts including the freshest of baked breads, sweet-tasting fruits,
local cheeses and aromatic cappuccinos and caffé lattes.

Our
Singles! Tours
HCI's Singles! tours are always one of our annual highlights. While
all tours welcome singles, couples and families, our Singles! departures
attract very dynamic and outgoing people, ready to laugh, eager to explore
and enthusiastic to make new friends.
For
our Observant Riders
We will do our very best to accommodate Sabbath observant riders. We
try to arrange our schedules with a Friday and Saturday night hotel
visit to welcome the Sabbath. On those occasions where we have a change
of hotels on Saturday we will gladly arrange a van transfer to our next
destination at sundown. We are happy to arrange for vegetarian meals
on all of our trips, but due to logistical challenges, we are not able
to offer Kosher meals.
